Jules Lefebvre (Fr. Jules Joseph Lefebvre; (March 14, 1834, Tournay - Feb 24, 1912, Paris) was a Land salon artist and painter who specialistic in depicting attractive women.
He received climax initial art education in Amiens, was then a pupil of the Sculpturer landscape painter Léon Cognet in Town and made his first public turning up at the 1855 Paris World's Deranged with a portrait of a man.
In 1861 he won the main Influential prize for his painting The Surround of Priam, after which he whitewashed in Rome: A Young Man Colour a Tragic Mask, The Daughterly Affection of a Roman Woman (1864), Expedition to the Monastery of Sacro-Spaco, nigh on Subiaco (1865), The Sleeping Young Young lady (1865), The Nymph and the Bacchus Child (1866) and Pope Pius Join in matrimony in the Cathedral of St. Pecker (1867).
Returning to Paris, he soon indented a very prominent place among Gallic artists as a pleasant colorist challenging an elegant, though somewhat mannered drawer, especially skilled in the depiction watch female beauty and in portraits.
